About the position
Well established food manufacturer in Krugersdorp has a vacancy for the abovementioned. This candidate will have a min of 3 yrs exp as a lab analyst, have knowledge of OHS, GLP's, ISO 9001, FSSC 22000 and chemical safety. This incumbent will be responsible for QC and QA from raw material through to release of final product. Should have any queries call Antoinette or Danielle on 0861 FENRIS (336747).
Responsibilities:
Ensure that all samples submitted are recorded correctly.
Retain and store blend samples for easy retrieval.
Conduct all the physical, chemical and microbiological tests on gelatin samples according to written work instructions.
Conduct all the required tests on raw materials and water samples according to written work instructions.
Report any non-conformance of tests, results or contamination in samples to the SHEQ manager.
Full adherence to safety standards.
Accurately complete all necessary documentation on time.
Responsible accurate record keeping of all tests performed and the capturing of results into required computer software.
Continuous efficiency improvement of process analysis.
Requirements:
Grade 12
Diploma in either Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or Food Science
Good Lab Practices
ISO 9001- advantageous
FSSC 22000- advantageous
Experience with OHS- 3 years
Chemical Safety- 3 years
