About the position

A reputable Financial Services Provider is seeking Candidates with an LLB or BCom in Business Management Diploma for a 12 month's contract. Must be immediately available to start. Must have experience and a strong understanding of Business registration processes, knowledge on business practice, compliance and the regulatory bodies related to Business Management/Ownership, etc.

JOB TITLE: KYC Client Outreach (Consultant/Analyst)

PURPOSE OF JOB:
In today's highly regulated Financial Services sector, it is critical that Deutsche Bank adheres to these rules and regulations for all its entities throughout the globe. A significant number of these new regulations require Deutsche Bank to obtain specific documentation directly from its clients in order to ensure compliance. The FIC Act in South Africa are particularly relevant.
This can be a significant challenge for the bank due to the differing local regulations governing our entities and the multiple products that clients may trade across multiple jurisdictions and countries. This can also be a significant challenge to our clients given the number of requests for data.
The Case Manger team was created in South with shared goals of creating best practice, process efficiency and achieve improved compliance and timely remediation. The remit of the team is to service cross divisional outreach requirements arising from Regulatory, Tax, KYC and Off-boarding drivers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To oversee Outreach on multiple Outreach campaigns within the department and be responsible for the in-scope population and work allocation of those projects, developing a deep understanding of the process and regulatory requirements.
  • To be responsible for the quality of the client Outreach and supervise maker contributors in that any operational and processes under the teams' remit are performed within agreed policies and procedures. Ensure that key process and risk indicators, controls, service levels are adhered to as well as creating a strong culture of risk mitigation and management.
  • To act as an escalation point for the process and be required to foster relationships with functional and operations teams
  • Manage new product requests and client outreach associated with it ensuring tracking end to end
  • Additional KYC, Product and Outreach work as required by management in support of the overall function

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to work with multiple teams across different locations to provide client centricity and best experience
  • Ability to learn and understand various regulatory requirements to provide effective client support, especially KYC related
  • Understanding of Client On-Boarding process and systems
  • Ownership and tracking of items to resolution
  • Ability to deal with Senior Personnel across business lines and product lines
  • Delivery against set timelines and objectives
  • Effective Multi-tasker with a proven track record of dealing with multiple processes simultaneously
  • Able to co-ordinate across teams and individuals to ensure smooth client experience.
  • Ability to understand legal terminology and effectively communicate same to clients and business

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Flexible and adaptable to change given the nature of the role and potential priority changes
  • Proven ability to cope with conflict and critical deadlines
  • Effective problem solving and mediation skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English - both written and verbal
  • Very proficient with MSOffice - especially intermediate and above Excel skills
  • Understanding of Sales & trading environment would be beneficial
  • Understanding of industry initiatives around Regulation would be beneficial
