What You'll Do:
- Lead and manage all daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and high standards.
- Prepare and present sushi and Asian dishes that meet quality and presentation standards.
- Maintain a smooth workflow during busy service periods, ensuring speed, accuracy, and consistency.
- Drive improvements within kitchen processes and team performance.
- Lead, coach, and develop kitchen staff, including scheduling and performance monitoring.
- Manage stock levels, place supplier orders, and oversee inventory control.
- Monitor food costs, minimize waste, and ensure proper stock rotation.
- Enforce strict hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards in compliance with legislation.
- Promote a positive, collaborative, and professional working environment.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization within the kitchen at all times.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a commercial kitchen.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong organisational and communication abilities.
- Extensive knowledge of hospitality operations and food safety standards.
- Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining exceptional standards.
- Skills in leadership, inventory management, and food safety.
- Excellent communication skills.
