Key Accounts Specialist - Logistics

About the position

Our client is looking for a Key Accounts Specialist to join their team in Blackheath, Cape Town. This role is focused on managing and maintaining key client accounts, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, and coordinating administrative processes between clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate is personable, professional, and highly customer-centric, with a hands-on approach to account support rather than sales or upselling. Own transport is essential, as occasional travel to client premises is required.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients
  
  
• Understand client needs and anticipate future requirements
  
  
• Manage account meetings and compile monthly KPI packs
  
  
• Resolve client issues and complaints professionally and efficiently
  
  
• Produce cost estimates and identify areas for account improvements
  
  
• Coordinate communication between internal teams and clients
  
  
• Assist in building and maintaining client account plans
  
  
• Monitor and manage service inboxes and client ticketing systems
  
  
• Support production planning by liaising with warehouse and operations teams
  
  
• Compile kits and adjust production schedules when necessary
  
  
• Analyze client data to support relationship management
  
  
• Report on account progress, goals, and deliverables
  
  

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a customer-focused, administrative key account support role is essential
  
  
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  
  
• High attention to detail and organizational ability
  
  
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  
  
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  
  
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks
  
  
• Ability to work well across teams and build rapport with clients
  
  
• Valid driver’s license and own transport
