About the position

Our client is a dynamic import export company of seafood products with their offices based in Cape Town. They are looking to appoint an experienced Key Accounts / Sales Manager to manage the effective running of specific National Food Service accounts by achieving set targets without compromising Food Safety and or Quality.
Key responsibilities:
- Achieving set budget, targets, maximising turnover, profitability and growth of assigned Key Account customers by effectively selling the company's products.
- Develop and grow relationships with your Key Account customers to ensure they do not turn to competition.
- Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements.
- Expand the relationships by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives.
- Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to Key Account customers in a timeously manner.
- Serve as the link of communication between customers and Atlantis Seafood Distributors.
- Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust.
- Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal planning team and customers using key account metrics.
- Manage, develop and maintain positive internal and external team environment and provide sales target feedback weekly, monthly and provide tools / training for the team to achieve the company's objectives.
- Develop sales growth strategies in line with company growth strategies.
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly sales performances, margin and probability reports, budgets and cost variance reports.
- Find and develop new customers and markets.
- Manage returned goods and process claims timeously.
- Analyse competitor activity and report feedback to Food Services Sales Manager.
- Provide feedback on stock availability and shortages to Key Account customers.
- Achieve budgeted expectations and feedback on barriers so corrective action can be taken.
- Manage your portfolio stock levels and ensure stock management targets are met.
- Implement improvements to maximize efficiencies within the portfolio.
- Continuous assessment and development to grow the range of SKU's in the portfolio.
- Manage the Key Accounts stock holding at our Depots and DC's, planning replenishment and forecasting for future demand and correct stock holding.
- Oversee and manage sales and administration, meet set budgets, targets, profitability and maintain food relationships with their respective buyers, demand planners.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Matric
- Degree in Sales and/ Marketing is required
- SAP
Experience needed:
Minimum 5-8 years FMCG experience
Seafood Industry experience will be advantageous
Desired Skills:
- Key Account Management
- Sales Management
Desired Work Experience:
- 2 to 5 years FMCG
- 2 to 5 years Middle / Department Management
