About the position
A leading plastic rigid manufacturer company requires the above to manage customers and drive revenue growth and profitability by developing and executing strategic sales initiatives, securing new business opportunities and expanding market share, specifically for the company's plastic pallet product line.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Previous experience having worked within the rigid plastic packaging or in the agriculture or large waste bin markets is preferred for the role; however, the company will consider candidates who have had sales experience in any industry for the role.
- The successful candidate must have solid sales experience developing new business and calling on customers.
- Proven experience selling into manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, industrial and/or FMCG environments is pref.
- Must have a strong understanding of B2B commercial processes, negotiation, and long-cycle sales.
- Experience in plastics, injection moulding, or industrial product sales is advantageous but not essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing customers and driving revenue growth and profitability by developing and executing strategic sales initiatives, securing new business opportunities and expanding market share, specifically for the company's plastic pallet product line.
- Identifying, targeting and securing new business opportunities for plastic pallets within regional and national markets.
- Generating revenue through pallet sales by building strong customer relationships and driving business growth for the organisation.
- Conducting customer visits and solution-based sales engagements to understand client needs and present tailored offerings.
- Building strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including procurement, operations, supply chain, and logistics managers.
- Preparing accurate sales forecasts, call reports, and activity documentation to support business planning and performance tracking.
- Negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts in alignment with company policies to secure profitable agreements.
- Developing and implementing comprehensive sales strategies and business plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
- Analysing market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to position the company’s offerings effectively and capture emerging opportunities.
- Managing client expectations, proactively resolving issues and ensuring exceptional delivery service to maintain high satisfaction and retention rates.
Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
