About the position
A well-known and established international master batch raw material company requires the above to manage and grow customers within the extrusion blow moulding and injection moulding / plastics converting industry supplying customers with various master batch raw material products.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Previous sales experience having sold plastic raw materials such as master batch and or related products into the plastic manufacturing converters is preferred.
- Knowledge of injection, extrusion and or blow moulding or related plastic converting production is pref.
- Previous sales experience having sold plastic raw materials, polymer additives, and or masterbatch raw materials into the industry is essential for the role.
- Proven track record of managing large accounts and delivering sustainable sales growth.
- Strong technical knowledge of masterbatch formulations, pigment dispersion, and plastic raw materials (PE, PP, PET, PS, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Must be commercial acumen with a customer-focused approach.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Driving and managing key accounts within the injection, extrusion and blow moulding plastic converting industries promoting masterbatch raw materials and related plastic raw materials to customers.
- The successful candidate will be required to troubleshoot and interact with customers on site providing them with specialised colourants and additives technical solutions within plastic converting manufacturing industries.
- Liaising and managing overseas principals to ensure the products supplied are in line with customer requirements.
- Presenting presentations at customers on new products and technology.
- Travelling internationally to attend various conferences and trade shows.
- Developing and executing strategic account plans to grow revenue, margin, and share of wallet.
- Identifying and approaching potential customers in the plastics converting value chain to expand the masterbatch raw materials portfolio.
- Collaborating with R&D and technical teams to introduce new products and innovations to the market.
- Providing technical support to customers on product application, processing behaviour, and troubleshooting.
- Liaising with internal product development teams to customize masterbatch formulations or resolve customer complaints.
- Working closely with logistics, planning, quality control, and technical departments to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
