About the position

DBN000182 – Key Account Manager (Steel/Laser Cutting Industry) - Rustenburg

Purpose of the Job:
To manage and grow relationships with the company's most valuable clients, focusing on long-term retention and profitability
 
Required Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or a related field
  • Min 5 years of experience in sales or key account management in the steel or laser cutting sector.
  • A track record of meeting and surpassing sales goals.
  • Strong knowledge of steel products (structural, flat, and value-added processing).
  • Technical expertise in materials, fabrication techniques, and laser cutting equipment.
  • Technical illustrations and quotations
  • Must have steel and laser machine industries.

Technical Competencies & Experience:

  • Establish, preserve, and grow connections with important clients in the steel and laser machine industries.
  • Reach predetermined goals for account growth, profitability, and sales.
  • Find new business prospects in current accounts and prospective strategic clients.
  • Work together with the internal laser and fabrication teams to guarantee precise quotes, timely delivery, and accurate costing.
  • Oversee contract renewals, tenders, and commercial talks with important clients.
  • Give precise sales projections, market research, and competitive analysis.
  • Oversee customer feedback and communication to promote operational alignment and service quality.
  • Collaborate closely with the production, logistics, and technical departments to guarantee that all customer needs are fulfilled.
  • Continue to have a thorough awareness of steel product lines, laser cutting applications, and product capabilities.
  • Create performance and sales reports on a regular basis for management to review.
