About the position
A well-known chemical raw material company requires the above to manage manufacturing key accounts within the personal care and home care industries.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- A tertiary qualification in chemistry or biochemistry or related or a COSCHEM diploma is preferred but not essential for this role.
- Previous key accounts / sales experience working within the personal care and or related raw material manufacturing industry is preferred.
- The successful candidate must be a strong team player with the ability to build and foster relationships.
- Must have a good business acumen with good analytical and synthesis skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills is essential.
- Computer literacy is essential with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing, growing and maintaining new and existing key accounts within the personal care and home care manufacturing industry.
- Maintaining and exceeding portfolio budgets with existing and new product offerings.
- Working closely with the laboratory as well as product managers and senior management to grow the speciality business portfolio.
- Sharing market insights to help develop a portfolio and mitigate competition and supply risks.
- Maintaining stock levels adequately and managing slow-moving stocks effectively.
- Developing and implementing a multi-annual strategic plan concerning a key account and transforming it into an annual operation plan based upon the company strategy and customer expectations within the personal care manufacturing industry.
- Developing and implementing key account plans and strategies to ensure sales targets and objectives are on target.
- Developing a transverse relationship with the customer and ensuring strategic alignment.
- Implementing the sales strategy, accomplishing market objectives and meeting targets.
- Establishing and achieving monthly and annual budgets, based on customer information and forecasts and preparing annual budgets for senior management.
- Identifying new business opportunities by leveraging the full potential of the company’s product and services portfolio.
Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
