About the position
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Test Automator with up to 5 years of experience in automated software testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Appium, and a solid understanding of integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
This role involves close collaboration with developers, QA analysts, and product teams to design test strategies, execute test plans, and support defect management processes. Familiarity with Agile/DevOps practices, cross-browser/device testing, and performance testing tools like JMeter or k6 is a plus.
Duties:
Automation Development:
Designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reusable automation test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, or Appium.
Integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines for early defect detection.
Test Planning & Execution:
Working closely with developers, QA analysts, and product owners to define test strategies and coverage.
Contributing to regression, smoke, and functional test suites.
Defect Management:
Logging defects in tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
Performing root cause analysis in collaboration with developers.
Agile/DevOps Environments:
Participating in agile ceremonies like stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Ensuring automation aligns with sprint goals and delivery timelines.
Performance & Cross-platform Testing:
Running tests across multiple browsers/devices using cloud platforms.
Contributing to performance testing initiatives using tools like JMeter or k6 (optional).
Requirements:
Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related discipline
3–5 years in QA automation; experience with CI/CD pipelines is a plus
