Our client, a reputable player in the accounting and financial services industry, is seeking a motivated Junior Tax & Finance Administrator to join their team in Woodstock, Cape Town. Where You'll Make an Impact:
- Conduct annual database checks and manage activities within the practice management system
- Scan, index, and archive client documentation on SharePoint; distribute SARS assessments
- Handle inbound and outbound client communication via email and telephone
- Liaise with SARS regarding verifications, audits, objections, appeals, and appointment cases
- Process new client onboarding and cancellations, including tax status checks and ALR updates
- Prepare and submit income tax returns through SARS e-Filing
- Compile supporting schedules such as income/expense statements, rental schedules, CGT, and travel logs
- Apply for Tax Clearance Certificates and perform Tax Compliance Status checks
- Attend SARS branch offices as needed and follow up on Notices of Objection and Remissions
- Prepare and distribute invoices, create ALRs, and follow up on outstanding payments
- Monitor the info mailbox, assist with new client intake, and provide ad-hoc team support
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of accounting, tax reporting, and taxation principles
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and grow within the tax and financial services sector
Familiarity with the following:
- Practice management systems
- SARS e-Filing platform
- SharePoint document management
