About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Customer Relations Officer, the Junior Customer Relations Officer plays a key role in the student experience by providing first-line support and guidance on a wide range of student-related queries. You’ll be the first point of contact for students via phone, email, and WhatsApp, helping resolve queries or escalating them to the appropriate team members when needed.
This role also involves assisting with student registration, academic progression, and administrative functions to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service across the student lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line telephonic and digital support for student queries.
- Assist students with course changes, registration updates, and curriculum guidance.
- Manage and monitor the student WhatsApp chat platform and general email inbox.
- Log, escalate, and follow up on student queries to ensure timely resolution.
- Support the rollout of student communications, surveys, and engagement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the academic system.
- Assist with registration periods, retention projects, and departmental collaboration.
- Stay informed on academic policies, programme structures, and student systems.
- Ensure compliance with POPIA and other relevant legislation.
