About the position
We have an amazing opportunity for a Junior Structural Engineer on a fixed-term basis, within the Construction Support Services industry, based in Cape Town
Responsibilities:
- Design and detail structural components in reinforced concrete and/or structural steel.
- Assist in preparing structural drawings and models using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Conduct on-site structural inspections and contribute to facility condition assessments.
- Compile technical reports and support documentation for structural integrity evaluations.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure design and documentation align with project requirements.
- Support ongoing compliance with engineering codes and company quality standards.
Requirements:
- Eng / BSc Eng / B.Tech / National Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 3-5 years' relevant experience in structural design and detailing (reinforced concrete and/or steel).
- Proven experience in structural building inspections and reporting (Facility Condition Assessments).
- Proficient in Prokon, AutoCAD, and Revit software applications.
- Registered as a Candidate Engineer or Candidate Engineering Technologist with ECSA.
