About the position
Germany.
Purpose of the position:
As a Junior Software Test Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our device software. You will work closely with our development and quality assurance teams to identify, document, and report software defects, as well as verify that software solutions meet the required standards and specifications. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about software quality and eager to learn and grow in the field of software testing.
Duties and Responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Collaborate with the development team to understand software requirements and design test cases.
- Execute test cases, document test results, and report defects in a clear and organized manner.
- Perform manual testing to identify functional, usability, and performance issues.
- Participate in the creation and maintenance of test plans and test scripts.
- Work with senior testers and production quality assurance staff to continuously improve testing processes.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of testing environments.
- Verify and validate bug fixes and new features.
- Perform regression testing to ensure the stability of the software.
- Collaborate with the development team to reproduce and debug issues as needed.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improving the overall quality of the software.
Required skills and competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and an aptitude for critical thinking.
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts and methodologies is advantageous.
- Familiarity with software testing tools and bug tracking systems is an advantage.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing priorities.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
Formal Education and Experience:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 2 or more years' experience in the same or similar role advantageous.
