Junior Site Agent - Cape Town

About the position

Well-established company based in Cape Town seeks a Junior Site Agent to join their team.
Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar administrative or site-based role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily site security operations in line with company security protocols, including proper shift handovers.
• Liaise with the Site Supervisor and planning team to align on production schedules and requirements.
• Maintain an up-to-date drawing register received from the professional team, ensuring correct filing on the site laptop/tablet and distribution to relevant subcontractors.
• Organize and manage construction drawings on the drawing rack, archiving outdated revisions and maintaining records until project completion.
• Update bulk material schedules daily to ensure cost accuracy and prevent overruns.
• Update and monitor the project programme weekly, submitting progress reports to the Quantity Surveyor (QS) for monthly evaluations.
• Participate in subcontractor and coordination meetings as required.
• Complete and submit daily plant hire control schedules and weekly timesheets to head office.
