What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it) Initially, you will be shadowing the senior sales engineers in the company who will mentor and guide you in the right direction. This includes identifying new business opportunities to nurturing relationships with existing clients, conducting site visits, preparing proposals, and delivering technical presentations. Then in good time, you will be driving sales growth within the mining, minerals processing, and industrial sectors at your own pace. An additional benefit would be some kind of background in external sales with 1-2 years of experience in heavy industrial or engineering sectors. Holding Matric is essential and having a technical trade is a nice extra. Being well-spoken, know how to negotiate and have a technical mindset will allow you to be successful in this role. You'll need a valid driver's licence, access to a vehicle, and have willingness to travel on the odd occasion to visit clients and promote solutions with senior engineers.
