About the position

Our client a leading provider of software solutions to the retail and hospitality sectors is seeking to add a Junior Sales Representative to their PE based team.

Requirements:

  • High school qualification or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of sales experience, preferably in the technology or POS industry.
  • Own vehicle required for travel purposes (Sales areas: East London, Port Elizabeth, George). 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and retail technology is a plus.
  • Flexibility to travel to client sites as needed and work occasional evenings or weekends.
  • Previous Hospitality/Restaurant Experience is essential.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and research potential clients through various channels, including online research, networking events, and cold calling.
  • Sales Presentations: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients, highlighting the features and benefits of our POS systems.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Sales Targets: Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and objectives.
  • Market Feedback: Gather and report market and customer feedback to the sales and product development teams to help improve our offerings.
  • Sales Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate sales records, proposals, and contracts.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team and other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience from initial contact to post-sale support.
