About the position
Hire Resolve's client, a well-established player in the South African construction industry known for delivering high-quality infrastructure and building projects, is currently seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Cape Town.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual looking to grow their experience in cost control, procurement, and contract administration while working on high-value projects in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit accurate cost estimates, budgets, and valuations.
- Monitor project costs and ensure alignment with budgets and contract specifications.
- Assist in managing contractual documentation and progress claims.
- Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to track progress and resolve issues.
- Support senior quantity surveyors and project managers in cost planning and control.
- Utilize CCS Candy software for measurement, billing, and reporting.
- Conduct site visits and assessments for progress and compliance checks.
Requirements- National Diploma or BSc in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in a quantity surveying role, ideally in the construction industry.
- Experience using CCS Candy software is essential.
- Exposure to medium to large construction companies and high-value projects will be highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
