About the position
Hire Resolve's client, a reputable and dynamic construction firm based in Stellenbosch, known for delivering high-quality residential and commercial developments, is currently seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
The ideal candidate will be an Afrikaans-speaking professional with at least 2 years of relevant experience and proficiency in Candy/CCS software. This is an excellent opportunity for a young professional looking to advance their career in a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
- Perform cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Monitor project progress and track variations
- Assist with contract administration and ensure compliance with contractual terms
- Prepare valuations for interim payments and final accounts
- Work closely with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders
Requirements- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
- Fluent in Afrikaans (spoken and written)
- Proficient in Candy/CCS software
- Relevant degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Based in or willing to relocate to Stellenbosch
