Junior Quality Control Inspector - Masterbatch Manufacturing

About the position

A well-known masterbatch/colourants and additives manufacturing company providing products to the plastics converting industry requires the above to conduct and communicate quality-control tests and/or inspections of samples supplied from the plastic manufacturing plant through to the laboratory ensuring that the finished product supplied meets customer needs.
Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a matric certificate, with maths.
• A diploma is preferred but not essential.
• Previous experience having worked in a quality control position is preferred but not essential.
• The company is happy to train a sciences or related graduate into this role who has no work experience.
• Must have proficient computer and Microsoft Office skills.
• Previous experience having worked within the plastic or polymer or masterbatch or related markets is preferred but not essential. 
• Previous research and development experience will prove advantageous. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Conducting and communicating quality-control tests and/or inspections of samples supplied from the manufacturing plant through to the laboratory.
• Ensure that the finished goods supplied to the customers meet the company’s quality standards and the customer’s needs.
• Communicate well with a diverse range of people at different levels of seniority.
• Managing time and workload based on production planning requirements and/or urgencies.
• Carrying out the procedural quality checks on the manufactured samples.
• Performing visual inspection of finished goods.
• Generating quality reports.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
