Junior Procurement Officer

About the position

Our client in the Food manufacturing industry based in the Montague Gardens area is looking for a Junior Procurement Officer to join their dynamic team.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Procurement of direct and indirect materials including placing orders according to weekly replenishment, following up on deliveries, liaising with sales on backorders.
• Supplier Liaison - make sure that stock is received as ordered and as per agreed product specification.
• Procurement of consumable/Expense items for Montague Gardens site according to budget.
• Procurement of Pre-printed stationery & corporate clothing for the company nationally.
• Switchboard & Procurement backup - as required.
• Data capturing for stock take.
• Actively exploring sourcing opportunities to deliver enhanced quality and savings.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification.
• 5+ years Procurement/ Procurement admin experience.
