About the position
Company based in Pretoria Gauteng is looking for a Junior Mechanical Design Draughtsman to join their team.
Qualification and Experience Required:
- Diploma or higher education in Mechanical Engineering and draughting.
- Design experience in component manufacturing industry.
- Sound knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:
- Draughting and development of design layout and concepts.
- Draughting 3D and 2D and product drawings.
- Work with project managers and customers to understand design requirements.
- Design new products in AutoCAD and SolidWorks as per customer specification.
- Dealing with customers regarding product development.
- Sort out product issues of products.
- Update drawings and processes.
- Modification and R & D on existing products and new projects.
- Support with all documentation with regards to New projects and product development or exiting products.
- Draughting layouts and handover to production with internal PCS process's
Preference will be given to applicants with sound knowledge of SolidWorks
