About the position

To manage and oversee the company's information technology systems, ensuring that IT services are designed and implemented to support both daily operational needs and strategic objectives. The IT Manager will ensure the security and integrity of data, manage IT infrastructure, provide technical support, and enhance overall productivity through effective technology solutions.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology trends to ensure innovation.
  • Oversee the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability and security.
  • Implement and manage helpdesk systems for tracking IT issues.
  • Establish and enforce cybersecurity measures to guard against data breaches.
  • Lead IT projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs for tailored solutions.
  • Develop and implement a business continuity plan (BCP) to ensure that IT systems can recover and sustain operations during a disruption or disaster.

  • Maintained uptime on all IT systems and infrastructure, with regular reviews and updates to enhance performance and security.

  • Successfully deliver IT projects on time and within budget, with documented completion reports and stakeholder feedback.
  • Ensure that the business continuity plan is tested and updated.

  • Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs for team members.
  • Participate in the recruitment of subordinates in consultation with the Managing Director and the Human Resource Department
  • Develop performance contracts for subordinates and conduct performance reviews to measure performance against agreedobjectives and identify training needs
  • Monitor the quality of work delivered by subordinates
  • Provide guidance, coaching, mentoring and advice tosubordinates
  • Address discipline and workplace conflict through initiation andcoordination of processes, and where necessary, implementappropriate disciplinary procedures
  • Manage time, work allocations, and leave of subordinates
  • Monitor compliance with company policies and the requiredcodes of conduct, ethics, etc.
  • Signed performance contracts for subordinates
  • Individual development plans in place for subordinates
  • Compliance with policies and procedures
  • Climate conducive to promoting and sustaining motivational levels, productivity, and performance.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Advantageous:

  • Relevant certifications (Cisco, Microsoft, ITIL)
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

Minimum:

? 7-10 years in IT or a related field (management / supervisory level)

Advantageous:

  • 1-3 years in IT management or supervisory experience
  • 1-3 years telecoms and sinage

Desired Skills:

  • Management ICT
  • Operational Management
  • IT service

Desired Work Experience:

  • 5 to 10 years

Desired Qualification Level:

  • Diploma
