Junior IT Lecturer

A reputable higher education institution is seeking a passionate and motivated Junior IT Lecturer to join its academic team in Polokwane. This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates looking to start a career in academia and make a meaningful impact on student development.

Please note: This opportunity is more academic-focused and full training is provided; therefore, prior lecturing or teaching experience is not required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant Honours Degree (NQF 8) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Development, or a related field
• Master's degree or progress towards a Master's degree will be advantageous
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Passion for teaching, learning, and student development
• Must be currently based in Polokwane (no relocation candidates will be considered)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver lectures and facilitate learning in IT-related modules
• Prepare learning materials, assessments, and examinations
• Mark and provide constructive feedback on assessments
• Support and mentor students academically
• Assist with academic administration and quality assurance processes
• Participate in institutional events and student engagement activities
