About the position
We're looking for a Junior to Intermediate System Analyst to help design innovative solutions and create seamless integration specifications. With your development background and Design Thinking approach, you'll bridge the gap between technical teams and business needs, delivering impactful, user-centric systems. Please note, this is a hybrid role based in Cape Town.
What you’ll do:
- Independently facilitate JAD sessions with internal and external resources to jointly discuss system requirements.
- Requirements Documentation using tools like ARIS, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart to document system and business requirements.
- Design thinking and customer-centric approach solutions and compile technical/integration specifications.
- Perform integration, technical and functional testing from source to target systems and at the database level.
- Agile Development and Team Collaboration using Jira to manage and collaborate with the delivery team to define priorities and release cycles.
- Create test cases in Confluence and collaborating on UAT testing with Product Owners.
- Create and execute SQL queries on MS Azure DB.
- Test Web Services (SOAP/REST) using SOAPUI.
- Perform data mapping (in and out from different vendor sources) to ensure systems alignment.
- Peer review technical requirements documents.
- Diagnose technical issues and suggest resolution.
- Process Analysis and Improvement to propose solutions to streamline operations and support business or project objectives.
Your expertise:
- Must have a minimum of 3 years proven work experience in a System Analyst role.
- Strong experience in writing SQL queries
- Experience in performing integration, and functional testing
- Experience in data mapping
- Experience in working in an agile environment
Qualifications required:
- Ideally a degree or diploma in Computer Science or a similar technical qualification
