About the position
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensuring that intermediate and final inspection is carried out in accordance with relevant work instructions
- Ensuring gauges are set in accordance with setting pieces prior to inspection.
- Raising internal reject non conforming product is identified.
- Monitoring component identification during manufacturing.
- Authority to reject non-conforming items awaiting engineer's decision on rework/scrap.
- Assist with products environmental test according to customer requirements or relevant standards ie jumble, jolt, vbration, propagation, waterproofness.
- Conduct SAP transactions for inspection lots.
- Carry out inspection procedures and checks in the electro-plating department i.e. plating thickness with Elcometer
- Carry out X-ray set up and inspection in accordance with relevant work instructions and documentations.
- Require working in other areas of scope of work as stipulated by the team leader from time to time.
- Ensure that all inspection records are filled in correctly and completely.

About The Employer:
Our client based in Maitland is looking to acquire an experienced Junior Inspector for one of their Sites that will be based in Maitland. The successful candidates should possessess the following skills and experiences
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Natural Science
- Diploma in Mechanical engineering will be advantageous
- Quality inspection experience
- Must be familiar with and be able to use measuring instruments such as Micrometers, Vernier Gauges, Go-NO-Go Gauges, Dial Indicators.
- Measuring instruments +/-1 years or applicable technical qualification
- Ability to read and understand Mechanical drawings and Specifications.
