Junior HVAC and Refrigeration Technicians (x2)

About the position

Background:

• Exciting career opportunity for Junior HVAC Technicians within a manufacturing company

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric
• Refrigeration/HVAC qualification (or in training)
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
• Valid driver’s license (advantageous)

Responsibilities:

• Assist Senior Technicians with the setup and commissioning of HVAC and refrigeration systems as well as attending to breakdowns
• Support the configuration of controllers, switches, and drives according to design specifications
• Assist in checking that systems are leak-free and charged where applicable
• Help ensure all electrical connections, diagrams, and components are correctly installed and secured
• Assist in verifying that all equipment is properly mounted and prepared for operation
• Support fault finding and basic troubleshooting on HVAC and refrigeration systems
• Ensure all work carried out meets quality and safety standards
• Assist in completing repairs to minimise repeat failures
• Report all faults, issues, and findings from site visits back to the factory or relevant department
• Accompany Senior Technicians to site for installations, maintenance, and repairs
• Identify and document problems encountered on-site
• Provide clear and accurate feedback and reports to Supervisors and factory personnel
• Maintain proper job records and assist with documentation where required
• Maintain good workmanship and quality standards
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain good housekeeping on-site and in the workplace
• Minimise waste and rework
