About the position
A well-established HR consulting environment is seeking a motivated and professional Junior HR Consultant to join their team in Moreleta Park. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HR professional with strong knowledge of South African labour legislation, skills development, and employment equity processes to work within a dynamic client-focused consulting environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting clients with HR administration, Skills Development submissions, Employment Equity compliance, labour-related matters, and general HR consulting services. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple client portfolios professionally and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Skills Development & Compliance:
- Manage Skills Development submissions to relevant SETA's.
- Assist clients with Workplace Skills Plans (WSP) and Annual Training Reports (ATR).
- Provide guidance regarding skills funding options and compliance requirements.
- Support Employment Equity analysis, reporting, and submissions.
- Ensure clients remain compliant with relevant South African labour legislation and HR regulations.
HR Consulting & Client Support:
- Provide HR administrative and consulting support to clients.
- Assist clients with labour-related matters, including disciplinary procedures and basic labour law guidance.
- Conduct meetings and consultations with clients professionally and effectively.
- Maintain strong and professional client communication and relationships.
- Write clear, concise, and professional reports and documentation.
Administrative Duties:
- Perform general HR administration and maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Manage deadlines, submissions, and compliance-related administrative tasks.
- Assist with internal administrative and consulting support functions when required.
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related field (HR Degree preferable, NQF Level 6 or higher).
- Additional HR-related qualifications and training will be advantageous.
- 4-6 years general HR consulting experience within a similar environment.
- Experience with Skills Development submissions to SETA's is essential.
- Knowledge of and experience with Employment Equity submissions is required.
- Sound knowledge of HR Administration.
- Strong understanding of South African labour legislation and HR regulations.
- Own reliable vehicle.
- Valid Code B driver's licence.
