Junior Graphic Designer (Remote)

About the position

ENVIRONMENT:

THE creative talents of an ambitious Junior Graphic Designer are wanted by a leading Data Solutions Provider to join its team. Aiding the Design & Marketing team, you will help produce designs across a variety of formats, platforms and environments including but not limited to editing brand related presentations, training manuals, instructional videos, social media visuals (posts, ads, infographics), etc. You will work across all of the products and be a Design Assistant within the organisation. The ideal candidate must have a keen eye for detail with conceptual skills, a relevant Graphic Design tertiary qualification with at least 1 year in a similar role. You must be able to execute designs according to design briefs, follow design guidelines & unique brand bibles and be proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Canva).

DUTIES:

Visualise training materials across the business –

• Edits and develops online learning materials.
• Develop Instructor’s Manuals, rubrics, and other teaching tools.
• Collaborate with subject experts to develop course content.
• Keep current on best practices in instructional design.
• Write scripts for video and audio content.

Assist in the production of designs across platforms and in different formats –

• Review design brief details and requirements.
• Deliver creative designs according to the brief and aligned to brand guidelines.
• Submit design for internal review and amendments and make adjusts as required.

Maintain brand identities across products –

• Image sourcing (Blogs, presentations, websites, etc.).
• Presentation editing / creation (PowerPoints, Training docs, templates, internal comms).

Determine best software for the design function –

• Produce designs using appropriate software tools.
• Research and stay abreast with latest design software trends.
• Initiate self-upskilling programmes on latest design software trends.

Promote a positive culture –

• Make magic through innovation.

• Accountability is clear and personal.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications –

• Qualification or Certificate in Graphic Design.

Experience/Skills –

• 1+ Years in a Graphic Design role.
• Must be able to execute designs according to design briefs.
• Experience with the latest design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Canva).
• Ability to follow design guidelines & unique brand bibles.
• Understanding of Design Principles.
• Image editing.
• Typography skills.
• Microsoft Office 365.

Advantageous –

• Figma.
