About the position
Hillcrest - Our client, a specialist in the digital marketing industry, delivering tailored marketing solutions to a range of clients, is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to join their highly creative and bubbly team. They focus on strategy, design, and digital execution, supporting businesses in enhancing their online presence.
The Junior Graphic Designer will support the design team by creating engaging visuals for social media, websites, and various digital campaigns. This role requires a keen eye for design, attention to detail, and the ability to follow brand guidelines. The ideal candidate will be collaborative and eager to learn in a highly active team setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the design of digital assets for social media and online platforms
- Develop basic layout and design concepts under guidance
- Prepare artwork and ensure final graphics are visually appealing
- Work with the content and marketing team to bring creative concepts to life
- Edit and resize existing artwork according to the brief
- Maintain brand consistency across all designs and platforms
- Support in creating presentations and pitch materials
- Adapt graphics for mobile, desktop, and responsive display
- Organise and archive design files efficiently
- Stay updated with design trends and tools

Requirements
- Relevant graphic design qualification (Advantageous)
- 1 year of experience in a similar role (freelance or internship experience will be considered)
- Proficiency in Canva & Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Portfolio showcasing previous design work
- Available immediately
Remuneration
R8 000 – R10 000 (Dependent on experience)
