About the position

Postion Summary:
The National Research Foundation (NRF) seeks to make an appointment for the position of Junior Graphic Designer who will be responsible for assisting the organisation in maintaining a positive image through providing professional support towards the management and proper application of the NRF visual identity in all communications assets produced by the organisation

Key Responsibilities:

• Playing a supportive role in the development and execution of an integrated communications, marketing and research communication strategyProviding professional support in the management of the NRF’s Corporate IdentityDesigning and layout publications of the NRF and co-manage the production process
• This includes manipulation of images and vectors
• Procure and manage stock images and maintain an image library
• Designing emailers, newsletters, online invitations, infographics, styling of presentations and word documentsDesigning materials for events, e

• Banners, Posters, Billboards, invites, Publications (e

• annual reports)

Minimum Qualification:

• Bachelors Degree / Advanced Diploma / NQF 7

Minimum Experience:

• 2-5 years

• Bachelor’s degree in visual communication, Graphic Design, or a related field
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• At least one year working experience in a graphic design environment

• Strong portfolio showcasing work in branding, digital, and print design, reflecting conceptual skills
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilitiesDesk Top Publishing skills, especially in the production of publications
• Ability to Conceptualise and design adverts and other marketing materials
• Proficiency in graphic design software packages such as the latest Adobe Creative Cloud applications including InDesign, Photoshop for illustration, Desktop Publishing and Image Editing
