About the position
A well-established company based in Midrand is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer who is also willing to assist with administrative duties.
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Graphic Design or related field
- Experience advantageous but not essential
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop (advantageous)
- Basic Microsoft Office / Mac literacy
- Valid references and clear criminal record
- Reside within commuting distance of Midrand
- Own reliable transport required
Key Responsibilities
- Manage design projects under the guidance of the Senior Graphic Designer and relevant departments
- Prepare and regenerate customer artwork to meet production specifications
- Assist with new product development (NPD) documentation and departmental workflow
- Create pre-production outputs and ensure artwork meets technical requirements
- Maintain documentation for NPD, Graphics, QA, Health & Safety, Logistics and Production
- Develop design concepts and assist with marketing and social media creatives
- Support sample processing, production sign-offs and general departmental operations
- Provide daily progress updates and communicate project status to relevant teams
- Assist with upkeep of graphics department machinery and perform ad hoc duties
