Junior Financial Assistant

About the position

My client, a reputable company based in Rosebank, is seeking a Junior Finance Assistant to join their team. This position is initially offered as a contract role to provide maternity leave cover, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent opportunity.
Requirements: 

• Relevant finance qualification or studying towards one. 
• 1–2 years of finance or accounting experience (internships considered).
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Proficiency in MS Excel at an advanced level. 
• Good communication and organisational skills

Duties: 

• Maintaining accurate financial records on Excel. 
• Capturing Manual payments on the accounting system: Great Plains.
• Raising Purchase Orders on Great Plains
• General office and admin duties.
• Booking travel for staff and clients.
• Receiving of goods.
• Managing parking for the office.
• Capturing and processing General business expenses.
