Junior Financial Accountant

About the position

Job Summary:
Responsible for ensuring that the trial balance for the division is accurate and complete. This is done by:Sa

• Posting the relevant month end Journals
• Ensuring the correct intercompany contracts at the correct prices and tonnages are used
• Ensuring that Safex, the Hedges and the Forex is correctly allocated
• Analysis of the division's income statement
• Preparation of the division's balance sheet recons
• Review of all the division's creditors
• Review of all the site stock count, procedures, stock gain loss analysis and stock reporting

Reporting to the Site Financial Accountant and Group Finance Manager

Role Competencies:
Experience in month-end close process; knowledge of IFRS and taxation. A good understanding on Safex, Hedges and Forex. Maintaining and creating processes and controls around the management of stock. Experience in Manufacturing and FMCG environment.

Qualifications:

• Finance Degree/Diploma
• SAICA/SAIPA articles (advantageous)
• 2-5 years relevant experience
• SAGE ERP experience (advantageous)

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Management Account journals and Balance Sheet recons
• Analysis of Management account Income Statement
• Review of stock gain loss analysis
• Review of Creditors recons
• Identify Control/ procedure issues
• Contract management for the division which matches up the Safex to the Hedges to the Forex and finally to the product produced and sold
