About the position
DBN000259 - Junior Electrical Engineer - Cleveland Johannesburg
Purpose of the Job:
Design, implement, and maintain electrical systems for advanced explosives loading equipment and control systems, ensuring safety and technical compliance.
Required Qualifications:
- BSc or BEng in Electrical Engineering (Light Current or Control Systems)
- 0–2 years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles
- Exposure to mining electrical systems is advantageous
Technical Competencies & Experience:
- Develop electrical diagrams (ELDs) for various projects.
- Apply knowledge of firmware and software fundamentals to enable effective control systems.
- Assemble control panels and electrical panels based on ELD specifications.
- Design and implement HMI controllers.
- Oversee inventory and manage stock levels efficiently.
- Collaborate with clients to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
- Travel to project sites nationally and internationally as required.
- Provide regular reports to management detailing daily, weekly, and quarterly progress.
