Junior Draughtsperson

Responsibilities: 

• Creating and updating accurate technical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Producing and interpreting both 2D and 3D engineering drawings.
• Assisting with structural steel detailing and concrete construction drawings.
• Working alongside engineers, project managers and other team members to bring designs to life.
• Interpreting technical specifications, construction plans and project requirements.
• Updating drawings based on design changes, feedback and project developments.
• Maintaining organised drawing records and technical documentation.
• Helping ensure projects meet quality standards and deadlines.

Requirements: 

• A Matric certificate.
• An N4 or N5 qualification in Draughting, Engineering or a related technical field.
• Approximately 2–3 years of relevant draughting experience.
• Practical experience using AutoCAD.
• Experience producing both 2D and 3D drawings.
• Essential: Previous experience in concrete construction and structural steel engineering.
• An understanding of construction drawings, steel structures and building projects.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
