Draughtsman (Junior)

About the position

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Technical or CAD drawing subjects advantageous)
• Draughting Diploma/Certificate
• None to 2 years experience
• Basic knowledge or understanding of Sheet Metal
• 3D Software Certificate
• Nesting Software, Meta Cam, Solid Edge & Rivet, AUTO-CAD, Meta Cam & Excel

Responsibilities

• Create manufacturing drawings in accordance with company standards
• Ensure all manufacturing drawings meet drawing office standards
• Create and update cutting lists in accordance with Drawing Office standards
• Ensure all cutting list data is accurate and up to date
• Measure samples
• Measure miscellaneous parts required for manufacturing
• Update NC program directory for Sheet Metal Department
• Ensure NC programs are updated to latest revisions
• Issue job cards for custom equipment as per works order
• Ensure production schedules are kept up to date with the current status
• Maintain and update the Drawing Office job register as and when required
• Report incidents within 24 hours
