Junior Draughtman

About the position

Our client a well established manufacturer based in Germiston is looking for a Junior Draughtsman to join their team.
Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) software / Auto-cad
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Summary:

• The Draughtsman is responsible for creating technical drawings and plans for the production of woodworking products.
• This includes determining the most efficient use of
• materials, and ensuring that the design meets all applicable standards and regulations.
• The Draughtsman works closely with the production team to ensure that the plans are feasible and will result in a high-quality product.
• Review design specifications and determine the most efficient use of materials
• Create detailed technical drawings and plans for the production of woodworking products
• Ensure that the plans meet all applicable standards and regulations
• Work with the production team to ensure that the plans are feasible and will result in a high-quality product
• Keep up-to-date with new technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes
• Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and sales, to ensure that designs meet customer requirements
• Provide technical support to the production team, including answering questions and resolving any design issues
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all designs and plans
• Continuously improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness
