Junior Digital Designer
Johannesburg

Department - Marketing / Digital
Reports To - Digital Designer / Marketing Manager

Role Summary
We are looking for a Junior Digital Designer to support the growing digital and social media demands of the brand. This role will assist with day-to-day design, content creation, and digital execution, ensuring campaigns are delivered consistently, on time, and to brand standard.
The Junior Digital Designer will play a key role in reducing production bottlenecks, allowing campaigns to scale effectively across multiple platforms while maintaining quality and speed.

Key Responsibilities
Design & Content Support

  • Assist in designing digital assets for social media, emailers, paid ads, and website use
  • Resize, adapt, and version artwork across multiple platforms and formats
  • Support the creation of campaign visuals, promotional assets, and sales-driven content
  • Prepare assets for influencers, distributors, and partners where required

Social Media & Digital Execution

  • Assist with social media content creation (static posts, carousels, basic motion/short-form video)
  • Support video editing, caption visuals, and simple animations where needed
  • Help maintain a consistent visual identity across all digital touchpoints

Brand & Quality Control

  • Ensure all outputs align with the brand guidelines
  • Maintain attention to detail across all designs and formats
  • Support quality checks before content goes live

Required Skills & Experience

  • Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Digital Design, or a related field
  • 1-2 years' experience in a digital or design role (agency or in-house)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; After Effects/Premiere Pro is a bonus)
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms and digital content formats
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow within the role

Desirable (Bonus) Skills

  • Basic video editing or motion graphics
  • Familiarity with social media trends and short-form content
  • Experience working with templates and brand toolkits
