Junior Creditors Clerk

About the position

Well known packaging company based in Linbro Park requires a Junior Creditors Clerk.  Individual must live in Kempton, Greenstone, Edenvale, Alexandra or Linbro Park areas.
To be considered for the position you should meet at least the following essential criteria:

• Matric or the equivalent
• At least 1 - 2 years creditors experience in a manufacturing environment
• Individual must live in surrounding areas ie. Kempton, Greenstone, Edenvale, Alexandra or Linbro Park areas
• Computer literacy on Syspro is an advantage
• MS Office skills are essential
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• High levels of accuracy, pay attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Has to be persistent, hardworking and a team player
• Clear understanding of accounting principles and the manufacturing process
• Able to use initiative and work without supervision

Responsibilities for the position include the following:
Capturing all purchase orders for stock and non-stock items after approval by  Management and emailed to suppliers via Syspro
Capturing of all GIVs and ensuring that their linked to the PO
Ensuring that GRN number is created and processed to the APL once tax invoice is received
Checking GRN file on a weekly basis and submitting it to the Financial Executive
Ensuring that reconciliations are completed no later than the 15th of every month and updated on the payment schedule to be signed and verified by the Financial Executive
Ensure that all supporting documents together with the statements are filed on a monthly basis
Maintaining credit card and controlling all expenses
Run recons
Capturing all transactions on Syspro
