In this entry-level role, you’ll help with food preparation and basic cooking tasks while gaining hands-on experience and building the skills needed to grow in a professional kitchen.
Requirements:

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of ingredients under supervision.
• Follow hygiene, health, and safety guidelines at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in your section and throughout the kitchen.
• Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items.
• Support senior chefs with stock rotation and storage.
• Learn and adhere to standard recipes and presentation specifications.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries appropriately.
• Carry out cleaning duties as directed, including kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure a smooth kitchen operation.

Qualification and Experience:

• Matric certificate
• 2 years of experience 
• A la Carte & Banqueting 
• Cooking background
