Junior Buyer

About the position

Well-established engineering solutions company in Randburg seeks a Junior Buyer to join its procurement team.

• KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Place, track, and manage purchase orders in SYSPRO
• Source suppliers and confirm pricing, availability, and delivery timelines
• Follow up on orders to ensure on-time delivery of materials and consumables
• Support stock control through weekly stock reviews and replenishment planning
• Assist with inspection of received goods to ensure quality compliance
• Manage supplier queries and assist with resolving delivery or quality issues
• Support supplier non-conformance reporting (NCRs) and corrective actions
• Maintain accurate procurement, supplier, and stock records
• Provide general administrative and coordination support to the Stores and Procurement team

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Matric (Grade 12) – Essential
• 1+ year experience in a procurement, buying, or stores-related role
• Basic knowledge of procurement processes and supplier coordination
• Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong communication and follow-up skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn SYSPRO and procurement systems
