About the position
Key Responsibilities:
- Source products and negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers
- Assist with purchasing under the guidance of the Buying Manager
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to inform buying decisions
- Maintain accurate records of orders, pricing, and deliveries
- Collaborate with internal teams to support demand planning and budget control
- Use Excel to analyze procurement data, identify discrepancies, and report key insights
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years expeirnece in buying, procurement, or inventory management role
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting
- Ability to identify and address data inconsistencies or supply issues
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
- Experience in supply-chain
- Knowledge of import/export regulations and logistics is advantageous
Qualifications:
- Diploma or relevant qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field is advantageous but not essential
- More important is practical buying experience and a desire to grow within the business
