About the Role
Are you motivated, results-driven, and eager to start your career in ICT sales? As a Junior Business Generator, you'll be the initial point of contact for potential clients. Your primary responsibility will be identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospects to support the senior sales team and accelerate the sales cycle.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Research and identify target markets and potential client organizations in both government and private sectors.
- Leverage databases, professional platforms (e.g., LinkedIn), and industry directories to identify decision-makers.
- Support strategic lead generation campaigns.
Outreach & Engagement
- Initiate contact with prospects via outbound calls, emails, and messages.
- Represent the company professionally and convey the value of its ICT solutions.
- Provide prospects with high-level information on solutions including IP PBX, Unified Communications, Call Center software, and voice security products.
Lead Qualification & Nurturing
- Conduct discovery calls to understand client needs and assess solution fit.
- Qualify leads based on predefined criteria and forward qualified leads to the sales team.
- Filter out low-potential leads to ensure sales team focus is optimized.
CRM Management & Reporting
- Log and manage all interactions in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho).
- Track and report on KPIs related to lead generation.
- Meet or exceed outreach and qualification targets.
Team Collaboration & Learning
- Work closely with account executives to ensure smooth handover of leads.
- Stay up to date on new products, ICT industry developments, and competitive offerings.
What We're Looking For
Technical Competencies
- Familiarity with CRM systems or a strong willingness to learn.
- Basic Excel/data analysis skills.
- Foundational knowledge of ICT, VoIP, and Unified Communications is a plus.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, IT, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
- 0-2 years' experience in sales support, lead generation, customer service, or telemarketing (preferably B2B or ICT).
- Fluency in English required. Additional languages (e.g., Afrikaans, isiZulu, Xhosa) are advantageous.
