The Business Analyst assists in providing solutions to the business community by focusing on analysing business needs, processes, systems, and data to help improve efficiencies, solving problems, and supporting decision-making.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Interaction
- work closely with IT stakeholders and user community to understand their needs, challenges, and goals.
- participate in meetings and discussions to gather requirements and gain insights into business needs.
Solution Development
- assist in developing and designing solutions tailored to meet the business specific needs. This involve software solutions, hardware configurations, or a combination of both.
Product Knowledge
- Become experts in the company's products or services.
- remain up-to-date with the latest features, updates, and industry trends.
Documentation
- responsible for documenting proposed solutions, including technical specifications, diagrams, and project plans which is crucial for effective communication with clients and other team members.
Testing and Quality Assurance
- involved in testing and quality assurance activities to ensure that the proposed solutions work as intended and meet the client's requirements.
Training and Support
- assist in training clients on how to use the solutions effectively.
- provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance.
Collaboration
- work closely with senior Business Analysts, developers, and project managers to deliver successful solutions on time and within scope.
Research
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings which is essential to provide innovative and up-to-date solutions.
Requirements Gathering
- work closely with IT stakeholders and users to gather and document business requirements.
- involves conducting interviews, surveys, and workshops to understand business needs.
Data Analysis
- analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions.
- involves working with data visualization tools and spreadsheets.
Process Mapping

Requirements Documentation
- create clear and detailed documentation of business requirements, including use cases, user stories, and functional specifications.

- lead the testing and quality assurance activities to ensure that systems or software meet the specified requirements.
