About the position
Our Client, a well established audit and accounting practice is seeking a Junior Bookkeeper to support its finance and client accounting function. This role is suited to someone with prior experience working on multiple sets of books who wants to build strong technical bookkeeping and accounting exposure within a professional services environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- At least 2 years bookkeeping experience, preferably within an accounting or audit firm
- Experience working on multiple client accounts
- Proficient in Pastel and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills
Responsibilities
- Capture financial transactions including sales and purchase invoices
- Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with payroll processing
- Support VAT reconciliations and VAT returns
- Maintain accurate financial records and client ledgers
- Use accounting software and Excel for reconciliations and reporting
This role is ideal for a Junior Bookkeeper who is reliable, detail focused and looking to develop further within a structured audit and accounting practice.
