Junior Attorney

About the position

We are seeking a Junior Attorney to join our legal and compliance team on a remote basis.

Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with international company formation, handling payment gateway legal/compliance matters, drafting essential legal documents, and supporting day-to-day regulatory and commercial legal needs.

This role is ideal for a junior legal professional looking to gain diverse, cross-border experience in corporate law and fintech compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Payment Gateway Support

• Assist with the onboarding and compliance processes for platforms like Stripe, PayPal, Adyen, Wise, and local providers.

• Draft and maintain Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policies, Refund Policies in compliance with gateway requirements.
• Respond to legal/compliance inquiries from payment processors regarding business activity, AML/KYC concerns, and document verifications.

• Support the appeal or re-application process in case of rejected or suspended accounts.

• Legal Research & Drafting

• Research multi-jurisdictional laws concerning e-commerce, digital services, fintech, and data privacy.

• Prepare legal briefs, memos, and reports on international regulatory issues.

• Monitor legal and regulatory updates that may impact ongoing business operations.

• Documentation & Communication

• Maintain a repository of corporate records and legal documentation.

• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and legal/regulatory bodies.

Requirements:

• Law degree but not required.
• 1-3 years of experience in corporate law, fintech, or startup advisory.
• Strong understanding of international business formation and payment platform compliance.
• Excellent legal writing and research skills.
• Proficient in drafting clear, concise legal documents in English.
• Comfortable working across jurisdictions and time zones.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Tech-savvy with experience using legal research tools, document management systems, and basic productivity tools (Google Workspace, Slack, etc.).
