Description / Synopsis:
The Agricultural Researcher role will suit an agricultural graduate with a strong research background and a completed MSc in Agriculture, Horticulture, Soil Science or a closely related discipline.
Working in a technically focused environment, the role provides the opportunity to apply postgraduate research experience beyond an academic setting, contributing to the development, testing and ongoing improvement of specialised agricultural products
Minimum Requirements:
- Completed (or about to graduate) MSc Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Soil Science or a related agricultural discipline – essential
- Relevant agricultural or plant science background
- Strong academic or practical research experience
- Experience with research methodology and data analysis
- Strong scientific writing and reporting ability
- Analytical and methodical approach to research
- Ability to work independently and manage research activities responsibly
Responsibilities:
- Conduct agricultural research and product-related research activities
- Plan, coordinate and monitor research trials and evaluations
- Assist with the testing and assessment of specialised agricultural products
- Collect, analyse and interpret research data
- Assess trial outcomes and identify relevant trends and findings
- Maintain accurate research records, documentation and supporting data
- Prepare technical reports and communicate research findings
- Contribute to product development and product improvement initiatives
- Apply agricultural and scientific knowledge to practical vegetation and pest management challenges
- Work collaboratively with technical and commercial stakeholders on research-related projects
- Remain current with relevant developments in agriculture, plant science and environmentally compatible management solutions
