Junior Accounting Lecturer

About the position

A reputable higher education institution is seeking a motivated and passionate Junior Accounting Lecturer to join its academic team in Cape Town.
This opportunity is more academic-focused and full training is provided; therefore, prior lecturing or teaching experience is not required. It is ideally suited to recent graduates who have completed an Honours qualification in Accounting, Taxation, or Auditing and are looking to build a long-term career in academia.

Minimum Requirements

• BCom Honours degree in Accounting, Taxation, or Auditing
• South African citizen
• Must be currently based in Cape Town (no relocation candidates will be considered)

Advantageous

• Previous tutoring, mentoring, or facilitation experience
• Interest in pursuing a career in higher education

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, workshops, and academic support sessions
• Assess and grade assignments, tests, and examinations
• Support student learning and academic development
• Participate in curriculum development and academic administration
• Contribute to student success and retention initiatives
• Attend academic meetings, training sessions, and institutional events
