Junior Accountant (Manufacturing)

About the position

Our client, a leader in the Manufacturing sector, seeks to employ an assertive, qualified and experienced Junior Accountant, who has strong experience in financial accounting, specifically in the engineering, FMCG or manufacturing sector,  with experience in foreign exchange transactions, for their fast paced group head office.

PLEASE NOTE:  candidates from the manufacturing or related industry will receive preference due to requiring experience in foreign exchange transactions, VAT and cashflow forecasting. 
KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION

• You must have completed a Accounting qualification, coupled with 2-5 years experience performing a bookkeeping or junior accounting function to trial balance, including foreign creditors management, within an engineering or manufacturing company

• Proven experience in monitoring and analysis of monthly reporting, and accurately forecasting cashflow, investment and ad hoc project costs

• In addition, you will have experience in VAT returns, VAT recons and annual/provisional income tax returns

• You must be able to work under pressure, have an assertive and proactive working style and have a track record in meeting deadlines.

• You must have worked on an ERP system (such as SAP, QMuzik, Syspro) and have advanced Excel skills

• Preference given to candidates who can start immediately and resident in Cape Town
